This is why you should never say "Never". My "heavy" wheel was just to hard to stop when I needed it to. Especially when trimming . My wooden wheel needs some repairs so..... No excuses its a NICE wheel, quiet,quiet,quiet! It was not an easy decision. I threw several pots on each of my 3 wheels ( heavy,light,and an old Shimpo "groaner") All the same form. I then asked my wife to try and tell which wheel they were made on. She couldn't ,and she has seen me work for over 30 yrs. So there it is! I'll eventually build a "proper" bench around it like my other wheel.
